6.25 Korean War Education Initiative

A student-led educational program exploring the origins, impact, and legacy of the Korean War beginning on June 25, 1950.

The War Heroes Oral History Project gives students the opportunity to preserve first-hand accounts from Korean War and Vietnam War veterans. Student leaders conduct interviews, collect written reflections, and curate digital or printed story archives highlighting veterans’ experiences, sacrifices, and post-war lives. The project emphasizes respectful storytelling and historical accuracy while giving students real experience in interviewing, documentation, and archival work. By amplifying voices that are often underrepresented in textbooks, students contribute to intergenerational understanding and historical preservation.
