The 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration, proudly hosted by the Korean American Federation in collaboration with several partner non-profit organizations, was a vibrant and inspiring community event. Designed to both serve the community and elevate youth leadership, the celebration provided a distinguished platform for young leaders to honor cultural traditions, gain public recognition, and demonstrate their leadership capabilities.
Following a strong track record of successful events across Glendale, Fullerton, Orange County, Irvine, and Los Angeles County, the La CaƱada event represented another significant step in expanding our reach and strengthening our presence in new communities.
The program featured traditional performances, music and karaoke, cultural education activities, interactive games, and a lively photo booth experience. Youth leaders played essential roles throughout the event, delivering public speeches, managing booths, supporting performances, overseeing technical operations, and coordinating game stations. Their active involvement showcased responsibility, teamwork, and initiative.
Participants received official leadership certification, earned verified service hours, and documented their contributions through professional event photography, further strengthening their leadership portfolios.
Overall, the celebration successfully combined cultural pride, community service, and youth empowerment into one impactful and memorable event.
